You Probably Didn’t Start Drinking Matcha Because It Tastes Good.

Before you get offended, hear us out.

When was the last time someone told you to drink matcha because it tastes amazing?

Probably never.

They told you about the energy.
The focus.
The antioxidants.
The lack of a coffee crash.
The wellness benefits.
The skin benefits.
The gym benefits.

The life-changing, productivity-boosting, become-the-best-version-of-yourself benefits.

Then one day you bought a matcha.
And if we’re being honest, the first one probably wasn’t great.

Maybe it was bitter.
Maybe it tasted like grass.

Maybe you convinced yourself you liked it because everyone else seemed to.

Yet here you are.

Still drinking matcha.

Which raises an interesting question:

Is matcha the only drink people start consuming for what it promises rather than what it tastes like?

Coffee lovers talk about flavour.
Wine lovers talk about flavour.
People who love pizza definitely talk about flavour.

Matcha?
Most people start with benefits.
Taste comes later.

That’s why one of our favourite things happens almost every day.

Someone takes a sip and says:

“Wait… this is actually really good.”

Not because they expected it to be bad.
Because they expected it to be matcha.
Maybe that’s the biggest challenge matcha has.
Not convincing people to try it.
Convincing them that it can taste as good as it looks.

So now we’re curious.

What got you into matcha first?
The taste?
The benefits?
Or did you simply get influenced by a friend?
